New Hampshire Potters Guild

Our nearly 100 cu. ft. cross draft wood fired community kiln serves professional potters, students, and hobbyists.   Built in 2008/9, the New Hampshire Potters Guild Community Kiln began as a gift of bricks bequeathed by potter Rudy Houk.  Designed and constructed by Guild members, it has been a focal point of our community.  We typically fire the kiln between 4 and 6 times a year and are currently in the process of designing and building a new and larger kiln on the same site to better accommodate the community.  The firing cycle usually lasts for 48 hours to reach cone 10/11 and yields satisfying results.  Our Community Kiln is located in Deerfield, NH on beautiful wooded property belonging to potter/member Al  Jaeger at 20 Perry Rd.  Accommodations for overnight guests can be found nearby.
